ALAN preparation, SamLearning and Fast Tomato
 
1.       ALAN tests continue after half-term. Level 2 is harder to get than Level 1, so you will need to practice for it. Google: ‘ALAN literacy numeracy’ and several sites will come up including the Edexcel practice page.
2.       www.fasttomato.com - Careers research site. You created a profile for this on Friday 21st October – go back on and continue researching.
3.       www.samlearning.com – this site is AMAZING! Log on by using the following details - Centre site: SM4BC (no gaps). You are already a member, your User ID is your Date of Birth followed by 2 initials. For Example: 310196DJ is the User ID for David Jones, born 31st January 1996. Passwords are exactly the same as User IDs.
      SamLearning has revision materials for most of your courses. It MARKS your work for you on the site. It also records how many hours you have spent on the site working – this can be searched by Mr Gardner who will award Golden Tickets to the three students who record the most amount of time on SamLearning.
