Road Safety Film Hits YouTube
A road safety film featuring Year 10 students from Bishopsford and their counterparts at Ricards Lodge has been published on YouTube. The film was made in the streets around BAC and students and their teacher gave up their Saturday to be involved in the project.
Bishopsford has supported the film since the beginning, with 3 KS3 students attending a meeting at Civic Offices in February to contribute their ideas towards the concept. The film is based on the TV show "Britain's Got Talent" and involves students being "judged" for their safety on the roads - or otherwise.
One Bishopsford student said: "This is a great way of telling other kids about the dangers on our roads. We don't want to frighten people, but we just want to make them aware that they need to pay attention to the cars and lorries as they cross the road. We're always either on our mobile, listening to our iPods or chatting to friends, and that can sometimes take your mind off the traffic and how fast it's coming down the street.'
