Prizegiving 2010

DSC_5257We were delighted to welcome the new Mayor of Merton, Oonagh Moulton, to our presentation evening on 27th May, on her first public engagement since being appointed the day before.

We were also joined by singer Rozalla Miller who sang her 1991 top ten hit "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" as well as giving an inspirational speech and answering questions from the audience.

The evening was also a showcase for a range of our students' talents, with songs from Christian Idos and Jadean Southam. Karis Gamble played the saxophone and Hannah Mu performed a piano piece.

DSC_5364Students from years 7-11 collected a range of awards both for their achievements in subject areas and the contributions they have made to the school community.

This year was our biggest prizegiving ceremony ever and the venue was changed to the Sports Hall to make room for the parents and guests who attended.

Mr Barker said "It is always a highlight of the year when parents join staff in congratulating our students for the wide range of achievements and contributions they make."
