Science Day at University of Surrey and Reed's
Last week, 13 students visited the University of Surrey and Reed’s School for a Physics event.
At the University of Surrey, students were given a tour of the radioactive labs and the Space Centre where they were shown real space satellites and spacecrafts. This was followed by a lecture in Nanotechnology.
At Reed’s, students took part in a series of ‘Energy’ activities. Many were based on renewable energy using water and solar power.
This trip was a great opportunity to think about physics beyond the class room and how the future of technology is very much dependent on our young scientists.
We were very proud of how students conducted themselves and got involved in all of the activities, at both the University of Surrey and Reed’s.
