Bishopsford Students Awarded for their Achievements
Staff and students at Bishopsford Arts College welcomed the Worshipful the Mayor of Merton, Councillor Gilli Lewis-Lavender, to their annual Prizegiving ceremony on Tuesday 28th June.
The address was given by cyclist and sports coach, Richard Cheetham, who spoke about his
completion of the Atacama Ultra Marathon, which involved running 155 miles in six days across the world’s driest desert.
There were some outstanding performances showcasing the range of musical talent at Bishopsford. As well as a rousing performance of "Oom-Pah-Pah" from the forthcoming performance of "Oliver", we heard saxophone pieces
from Katherine Payn and Karis Gamble and an amazing performance of Keyshia Cole’s "Trust" by Jadean Southam and Zarina Gobin.
